Good Afternoon, It's started Holiday Season, The older I get the less I like it..
I keep remembering of days past -- I think my most favorite Thanksgiving was one held at my grandparents. It was a weird year. Grandpa was sick and dying. But that Thanksgiving we had people there that I haven't seen since. One was a favorite teacher of mine another a favorite Uncle.
They touched our lives in ways you don't forget. One brought food. One brought his daughter to sit one more time on Grandpa's Lap. It's weird what you remember and what you don't. I don't think that year we had snow either.
I' m tired today. There's already been arguments on what to cook, how to cook it, what to buy, when to clean and when to work. Luckily our home-schooled child has today and tomorrow off, Our state has one week of fall recess. Our kid will have school by Friday though.
Now to face the present. It's been the warmest year ever. Neat I can handle the no storms bit.
Our firewood sales will pick-up after THanksgiving I hope. Customers on Thanksgiving, often. When I was a kid, NEVER. Weird. This entire world is changing. Not like it used to be.
Our kid will remember the good times I hope. We try to make memories for him. Do you make memories for your kids or for yourself???
