Sunday, Up late, looked outside. Had to just had to take the kid somewhere for Fun...Too nice of a day not to. Hated spending the gas money but off we went to a toy store of all places. It's nice having a child that appreciates life, on his way he told his dad '"My new socks fit better, thanks."
We had fun, we watched the trains go around, the roller coaster slide down, and even spent money on a new game and chocolate. We felt like kids again. The lights shimmered. Now it feels like the holidays I told my hubby. Our kid had a blast, he found cyberchase -- his favorite t.v. show in a computer game. My hubby watched, Well our store is slow so is this one, was his comment. And I smelled FUDGE..YUM! It was a good day away.
On the way home we showed our kid the canal -- always home-schooling whether you realize it or not. We're doing a report on canals, and water currents Monday.
Home again. Did Chores, let our cat visit -- she can come in the house and visit but lives in our goat barn. I'm allergic to hair...
Our kid instantly went to the computer, he's playing his new game. Yeah spoiled but it let's Mom n' Dad list stuff in our store for Cyber-Monday.
Company coming Tuesday. It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving this year,. Getting Old I guess.
My memories of Holidays past are too numerous to count but one of my favorites was making homemade stuffing early in the morning or the night before Thanksgiving.
I still remember the one where the turkey didn't cook and Grandpa ended up taking us all to a restuarant much to his dismay. Funny what you remember and what you don't.
Our Thanksgiving will be celebrated Tuesday instead of Thursday with our child's grandparents and Aunt arriving for instead of turkey we'll have chicken and roast beef. Then Thanksgiving you'll see how we spend that.
Time to stock our store for Tomorrow -- we have a virtual one. Plus a Tractor Shop outside.
It was a good end to Fall -- one of the last few nice days I think..
